When choosing the correct belt size it is best to choose the size of a proper fitting belt you already own. The actual length of the leather belt , that fits the waist ,  is measured from the end the buckle to the hole you ware your belt comfortably. I will punch the first hole there. I leave 3 extra holes, positive and negative. There will be a 6-7 inch tongue.

Belt my be a little longer when cut. I suggest purchasing a rotary hole punch, you can always add a

ole if needed. They are relatively inexpensive,  You can not add on to the belt.
